Where do they go I miss them so
When winter comes around
The singing birds and butterflies
Soft snow is on the ground
They won’t be home till Spring returns
Their lives depend upon
The warm sun’s rays and summer days
When the last snowflake is gone
Oh how I miss those creatures
They fill the days with song
They will return, I will just wait
Till Springtime comes along
I look out of my window
Winds howling, blowing snow
The fleeing birds they are so wise
The tender creatures know
Shall I shiver, winds swirling round
Or shall I be as wise as they
Goodbye strong winds, cold snowy days
Wait for me, I’m on my way!
